Bright Futures Care

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the residential care placements?

Our Great Care Offer is available on a 52-week package. This is to ensure that their space within their home is reserved for them and can continue without interruption for as long as they need us.

We offer both Chilren’s and Adults care, meaning that once they turn 18, we have the provision to transition them from one of our children’s homes into our adult homes at a time and life-stage that is suitable for them should they need it.

You can express an interest directly with us, we will work with you to consider what your loved one needs. We will however need your social worker to be involved, all placements need to be agreed and funded by the Local Authority or ICB.

Yes, we do! We specialise in supporting transitions into our homes. Our Education offer is also available for Children and Adults.

No, if your child is settled in their current School our teams will support them to maintain this placement. However, many young people benefit from attending our school because of the continuity of support provided across the waking day.

Do Bright Futures Schools have a catchment area?

No, we don’t have a catchment area. Entry to a Bright Futures School is based on the individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We would however deter a placement if travel to school was too long.

Our Bright Futures Schools provide education for Children and young people aged 4-25 years.

That’s our specialty. Many of the students at our Schools have come to us following a cap in education. Our flexible curriculum means that we can engage with pupils who are reluctant or anxious about going back to school.

All pupils must have an EHCP and our school must be named on this plan. Our pupils have learning disabilities, autism, and associated complex needs.

Does Bright Futures provide any training or resources for the local community?

We have a range of training that we can provide. We have an AET license (Autism Education Trust) which means that we offer training to help community members and groups understand autism, and in doing so be more understanding and accommodating towards autistic people. This is one of many ways that we positively impact on our communities.

We support many community initiatives and groups. We raise funds for a range of charities, we also sponsor Lymm Rovers disabled football team.

Our Residential Care Homes provide a safe and welcoming environment for people with Autism and complex needs. Our homes are staffed 24/7 by a team of who are there to support the people that live there to live their lives to the fullest potential.

We love to hear from our local communities. Whether you’ve got volunteering opportunities, careers for the people we support, know of ways we can get more involved within our communities, or anything additional… contact us.

We currently have locations in Lymm, Warrington, Liverpool, St Helens, and Manchester, with more on the way.
