At Bright Futures Care, we provide support for young people and adults presenting with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, fragile x syndrome, Asperger’s Syndrome, Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behaviours which challenge.
These areas can come hand in hand with communication or emotional difficulties however all of these conditions may benefit from ongoing supportive therapies. So, what do we offer in our locations?
Therapeutic Support for Our Students
For young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), there are numerous therapeutic options. These include behavioural, developmental and family-based therapy, but there are many more to choose from. Therapies such as this may help to minimize the impact of the associated experiences of ASD for the person.
In fact, almost every social and behavioural disability can be aided with certain types of therapies. For young people struggling to understand the world around them, therapy can help offer understanding and support.
Those with a learning disability can make great strides with the opportunity to communicate with and learn from professionals. In addition, the everyday interaction many of our students find challenging can be helped with the introduction of Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and specialist Occupational Therapy.
While all of these conditions require different, specific support, many can benefit from some form of therapeutic support.
Working alongside Shine Therapy, we strive to make sure we are providing the best therapeutic care to the young people in our care and education services. We have created therapeutic environments in all of our school and care settings, and continuously work to integrate this into people’s lives.
Our approaches are designed to tackle the specific challenges our students and young people face, and our therapists have been chosen for their experience and expertise. We offer continuous opportunities for physical, emotional and psychological development through tailored learning plans. Each comes with dedicated time for therapeutic support that is tailored to the different needs of every child and young person.
We know just how important it is to give our students and young people time to learn about their own challenges and surroundings. That’s why supportive therapies play such a large role in our learning environments.
