At Bright Futures, we’re always looking for innovative ways to enhance the support we provide to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. That’s why we were excited to welcome Kate Strutt from Redstone PBS to our offices for a special case study filming session.
We caught up with some of our Registered Managers alongside our Specialist Support Team to explore the real impact that Redstone’s PBS Champion software is having – helping our teams implement positive behavior support more effectively and, most importantly, improving the lives of the people we support. In this blog, we’ll take you behind the scenes of this project and share how PBS Champion is making a difference in our services.
A few years ago, we took a significant step forward by partnering with PBS Champion, a digital software platform designed to support Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and improve the quality of life for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and associated complex needs.
What began as a move away from paper-based systems has evolved into a powerful, collaborative approach to person-centred care – one that’s grounded in data, shared understanding, and meaningful outcomes.
Prior to implementing PBS Champion, our teams relied on traditional paper methods for behaviour tracking and incident reporting. While these methods served a purpose, they lacked the speed, visibility, and analytic power needed to identify trends or make real-time, informed decisions.
Real Insight, Real Impact
With real-time data capture, trend analysis, and visual reporting, our teams can now spot patterns, understand what’s working, and make evidence-based decisions quickly and effectively.
This has led to:
- More proactive support planning and implementation
- Greater consistency and collaboration across our teams
- Reduced physical interventions and restrictive practices
- Improved quality of life and outcomes for the people we support
It’s helped us deepen our understanding of each person’s individual needs, preferences, and triggers – supporting our commitment to delivering a truly person-centred approach to the care and education that we provide.
With the software embedded into of our everyday practice, and data dating back a few years now – we’re able to clearly see the impact.
